In the latest episode of Injured Red Sox Pitcher's Thumb Daily The Boston Globe Red Sox podcast, host Daigo Fujiwara, Steve Silva, and yours truly talk about the injuries to Andrew Bailey and Josh Beckett. We also offer predictions on how many games the Red Sox will win and whether they will make the playoffs.

Spoilah: I'm putting them down for 93 wins and a wild-card berth. There are a lot of very good things about this team, and then there's the addition by subtraction: Daniel Bard could suddenly decide to throw like Dan Quisenberry and he wouldn't be worse than John Lackey was a season ago.
