  • Playing surface: Grass

With little veteran experience returning this season, coach Cass will be looking at his young players to carry the torch. The team will need to develop its offensive and defensive line play as it lacks overall depth. With a small school comes small numbers and with that, Cass is looking to avoid any injuries. Returning to the team are quarterback Anthony Bollitier and wide receiver George Duret who will head off a September 17th season start. The team's goal is to get better everyday with captain-led practices behind Terrance Forbes, Dante Bittle and Nick Quinn. Running back Ben Riordan will be a player to watch.

With the move down to Mayflower Small, South Shore is entering the league with five years of Division 4 experience and 15 returning lettermen. "There won't be anything we haven't seen yet," said coach Mariani. Senior captain quarterback Jake Petruzzelli, a three-year starter, returns as an offensive leader along with tailback Andy Beckwith who returns with greater speed. A standout to watch will be returning defensive tight end tackle Jared McAuliffe whose play has steadily elevated from last year. Mariani will have decent size in his line, which should give the team advantage over ball control. "This team has new determination and overall they're hungry. They want to win."

The defending Mayflower Small champion is looking to its veterans - Michael Toczko, Joshua Ruggles, Joseph Palmieri and Zachary Low - to guide several first-timers at the skill positions. The goal for Panos and his captains will be to teach younger athletes about intensity, execution, and teamwork. West Bridgewater will have the allotted time to do so with its first league matchup Oct. 14. "We're going to need time to develop. We have to simplify our offense, defense, and kicking game and move gradually into finer things." Among veterans, a player to watch is Jordan Ames, a returning sophomore who is "playing like a senior."
