Revolution signs midfielder
The Revolution signed midfielder Michael Augustine, and the 18-year-old from Nigeria will take one of the team's eight international roster spots. He joined the team today in Georgia, where it is on an 11-day training trip that includes three matches against MLS teams.
Augustine scored 18 goals for the FCT Abuja team in Nigeria since joining it in 2008. FCT Abuja was promoted to the Nigerian Premier League in 2009.
In other recent moves, the Revolution signed three 2011 draft picks. Forward/midfielder Ryan Kinne of Monmouth and forward Alan Kroger of William & Mary were chosen in the MLS SuperDraft, while midfielder Andrew Sousa of Providence was taken in the MLS supplemental draft.
On Tuesday, the Revolution re-signed midfielder/forward Zak Boggs and goalkeeper Tim Murray.
