The Revolution's signing of Serbian midfielder Marko Perovic could be concluded this week, according to a team source. Perovic will not be available for the season-opener at Los Angeles Saturday night but the Revolution are hoping to have Perovic signed before the home-opener against FC Toronto April.

Perovic played as an advanced midfielder and on the left wing in two preseason games for the Revolution, then returned to Switzerland to finalize his release from FC Basel. Perovic was also weighing interest from Lugano, but the Revolution appear to be his first choice.

Perovic, 26, was born in Pristina and played nine years with Red Star Belgrade.
