Serbian midfielder Marko Perovic will not be available for the Revolution's final preseason match against the Carolina Railhawks in Cary, N.C., Saturday night. Revolution coach Steve Nicol has seen enough of Perovic and plans to make him an offer, so Perovic has returned to Switzerland to sort out details with FC Basel.

Perovic, 26, is still under contract to FC Basel, which committed to a free transfer before he joined the Revolution on trial, according to a team source. No salary terms have been finalized, but "we think we can get something done," the source said.

Perovic, listed at 6 feet 1 inch, 168 pounds, played in central midfield and on the left wing in preseason games against the Charlotte Eagles (2-0 win) and Duke University (1-1 tie).

Ecuador's Andres Raad and former Scotland U21 midfielder Gareth Williams, who were also on trial with the Revolution, are no longer with the team.
