Findley provides Real boost

Robbie Findley scored twice in his Real Salt Lake debut, leading the team to its first win of the season, 2-1, over visiting D.C. United last night.

Findley, who was traded to Real Salt Lake Thursday from Los Angeles, struggled to adjust to the altitude during practice Friday. He was fine yesterday, scoring first on a one-on-one with D.C. United goalkeeper Jay Nolly in the 41st minute.

The rookie, who scored twice during eight games with the Galaxy, beat Nolly again in the 50th minute. Findley was subbed out in the 73d minute and received a standing ovation from the crowd of 16,319.

FC Dallas 1, Rapids 0 -- Juan Toja scored his fourth goal of the year to give FC Dallas the win in Commerce City, Colo.

Toja had a clear look at the net after Clarence Goodson's shot was saved by Rapids goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul. Coundoul was prone when the ball skittered to his right, where Toja waited feet from the net.

Crew 3, Galaxy 2 -- Chad Marshall, Ned Grabavoy, and Alejandro Moreno scored as Columbus won in Los Angeles despite playing a man down for more than 60 minutes after Ezra Hendrickson received a red card.
