The Revolution selected University of Connecticut defender Jossimar Sanchez with their first of four selections in Major League Soccer’s four-round supplemental draft Tuesday at New York.
Sanchez was the fourth pick overall. He made 73 starts in his four-year career at UConn.
The Revolution also selected Chris Thomas, a forward from Elon University, in the second round; Old Dominion defender Alex De John in the third round; and Elon midfielder Gabe Latigue in the fourth round.
Midfielder Michael Bustamante of Chelsea High and Boston University was selected by New York in the first round, the 13th pick overall.
