Brockton’s Patricia Montiero was the day’s only double winner, placing first in 100-meter hurdles and long jump, Saturday afternoon at the Girls’ State Coaches Invitational at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville.

In the hurdles, Montiero finished in 15.16 seconds, 0.17 seconds faster than second place Annalisa Debari of Melrose. Montiero scored the top distance in the long jump at 17 feet, 11¼ inches.

“It means so much to me today to win. I always wanted to come in first in the hurdles and long jump. Each time I would come close to it and always finish in second place. It’s just awesome to finally win both events,” Montiero said. “I was very excited for the long jump, because it’s the one I have been working very hard on.”
