Taylor LeBrun, Milford: The freshman designated hitter delivered a single through the middle in the bottom of the ninth inning to knock in the walk-off winning run for the Scarlet Knights in their 1-0 victory over Malden in the Division 1 state softball final.

Christian Miller, Algonquin Regional: The senior first baseman struck the first and only run-scoring blow for the Tomahawks in the Division 1 state final, singling home Jim Temte in the second inning of their 7-1 loss to Xaverian Brothers High.

Chris Shaw, Lexington: The Boston College-bound slugger is playing for the Nashua Silver Knights of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League this summer, and went 3 for 4 in the team’s 3-2 win over the Torrington (Conn.) Titans last week.

Shannon Smith, Milford: After a year of dominance, the junior didn’t disappoint in the Division 1 state softball final, racking up 22 strikeouts over nine scoreless innings in the Scarlet Hawks’ 1-0 win over Malden.

Max Tishman, Lawrence Academy: The Wake Forest recruit from Wellesley is playing for the Brockton Rox in the FCBL, and has started the summer with a record of 2-0 and a 1.64 earned-run average.
