Players of the Week

Kristi Kirshe, Franklin — The senior striker netted eight goals this week, as the Panthers went 3-0 and climbed to No. 3 in the girls’ soccer Top 20. She now has 19 goals and six assists on the season.

Lauren Berman, Canton — Berman caught fire this past week, scoring 10 goals in three games, as the Bulldogs rolled past Stoughton, Taunton and King Philip. She now has 25 goals on the season to lead the Hockomock League.

Nicole Gavin, Duxbury — Gavin scored two goals and assisted on another in the Dragons’ 5-2 win over Silver Lake on Tuesday, and then scored the game-winner against Plymouth North in the 65th minute on Saturday.

Emma Brandhorst, Concord-Carlisle — Brandhorst had four goals and an assist in three games last week. Saturday night, she scored both goals (one unassisted) in a 2-0 win over Framingham. In a 2-1 win over Weston on Tuesday, she had a hand in both goals, scoring one and assisting on the other. She also scored the game-winner in a 4-1 win over Bedford on Thursday. She has 11 goals and four assists on the season.

Alli Wiggins, Central Catholic — Wiggins had a hat trick in the first half against Dracut on Tuesday and then scored with 10 minutes left to beat North Andover, 1-0, Friday. Wiggins has 8 goals and 7 assists this fall.

Sydney Stengel, Cardinal Spellman — Stengel’s hat trick in the Cardinals’ 4-1 win vs. Brockton on Saturday helped Spellman improve to 10-0 on the season and qualify for the state tournament. She has nine goals and four assists this season.
