Plymouth North's streak of 31 wins came to an end at the hands of the Malden Catholic baseball team yesterday.

The Lancers (3-3) were trailing, 6-2, in the bottom of the seventh, but rallied to win. The win was the Lancers' second in three games over reigning state champions - BC High (Division 1) and Plymouth North (Division 2).

The rally started with two consecutive walks and a two-run double by junior catcher Justin Sencabaugh. Freshman Anthony Carbone drew a walk and the next three batters hit run-scoring singles, the last coming from senior Shawn Kelly, whose pinch single to center brought home pinch runner Greg Crovo.

Bishop Feehan 12, Martha's Vineyard 5 - Ryan Lee was 3 for 5 with three RBIs, including his third home run of the season.

Pentucket 12, N. Reading 4 - Dan Johanson was 2 for 3 with four runs and Chris Modlish was 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs. Modlish also went the distance, allowing five hits.

Wilmington 10, Ipswich 0 - Senior captain Ryan Searles, who is batting .500, was 3 for 4 with two runs.

O'Bryant 2, Weymouth 1 - Matt Horan pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and no earned runs. Shawn Jaglall drove in both Tiger runs.

Lawrence Academy 16, Governor's Academy 6 - Joe Napolitano was 4 for 4 with three doubles and six RBIs.

BC High 10, DeMatha (Md.) 3 - Brendon Collins and Brandon Cipolla both went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Lexington 1, Billerica 0 - Kiki Saveriano outdueled Sarah Quatieri as Lexington edged Billerica, 1-0, the same way the North Sectional final ended last year. The difference this time was Saveriano's no-hitter, her second of the season. She struck out 15 batters.

Girls' lacrosse
Bourne 19, Bridgewater-Raynham 8 - Taylor Corsano, Shannen Dunn, and Kayleigh Dube notched four goals each for the winners.

Arlington Catholic 6, St. Mary's 5 - Julie Caccavaro scored three goals to push the Cougars past the Spartans.
