1. St. John's ends Duxbury streak
Nothing lasts forever. In this case, the subject is Duxburys run of six straight boys lacrosse titles. Last year Prep came close, losing the title game, 13-12. In this years final it took an overtime period but the Eagles prevailed, 12-11. This is the best high school lacrosse game Ive ever been a part of, said James Fahey, whose overtime goal was the difference. Its just awesome. The final minute included a goal by each team, the last by Preps Garrett Campbell to tie it with 7.3 seconds left. This is what its all about, Fahey concluded. No disagreement here.
