Mansfield junior wide receiver Brendan Hill, who suffered a partial tear in his medial collateral ligament, won’t play in Saturday’s Division 2 Super Bowl, coach Mike Redding said Wednesday morning at the Championship Breakfast at Gillette Stadium.

Hill will not have surgery, Redding said, but will undergo rehab that will keep him out six weeks.

Kyle Hurley will start in place of Hill against St. John’s (Shrewsbury).

Hill suffered the injury in the Hornets’ Thanksgiving Day win over Foxboro.

Xaverian senior running back Shayne Kaminski is also expected to miss Saturday’s Division 1 Super Bowl against Central Catholic, coach Charlie Stevenson said. Stevenson said the initial belief is a broken fibula.

Kaminski also suffered his injury on Thanksgiving in a win over St. John’s Prep.
