EVERETT – For three quarters, the Crimson Tide clung to a one-possession lead, struggling to distance themselves from Lowell.

The game was never out of reach for the Red Raiders until they ran into Everett’s buzz saw defense, which forced four turnovers in the fourth quarter. From there, the Crimson Tide were able to add a pair of touchdowns, as Everett shutout visiting Lowell, 21-0, in a Division 1 North semifinal Friday night.

Everett (8-1), the top seed, will host second-seeded Central Catholic (8-1) in the final next Friday.

“The defensive effort was strong the whole game,” Everett coach John DiBiaso said.

Marquis Holman led the way offensively for the Crimson Tide, rushing for 81 yards and a score.
