After tossing a complete game five-hit victory for the Lexington Blue Sox against the Intercity League defending champion Andre Chiefs, Southborough’s Matt Karis made it home Tuesday in time to watch the College World Series.“I was able to see the last six innings. If I’m not playing then I’m studying the game,“ said the 2011 Gettysburg College graduate who has been an elite pitcher in the amateur league since 2007. Over that span, he has gone 30-3-1 in the regular season with 209 strikeouts and just 45 walks in 232 innings with a 1.24 earned run average. He has posted an 8-1 record and 1.60 ERA in the post season for the Blue Sox.
