Danny Woodhead sticks to short runs
But don't expect to see the New England Patriots running back at the start line in Hopkinton anytime soon. He's focused more on quick bursts than long distances.
"I can't say I'm getting ready to run 26.2 miles," Woodhead said on Sunday at the Boston Marathon Sports and Fitness Expo, where he made an appearance as an endorser for Skechers sneakers. "Running obviously is a very important thing for an athlete, and for a running back, so I do lifting, and I do running, but I can't say I do a long, long distance."
With Woodhead now a spokesman for Skechers, which has entered the running shoe market with its GoRun model, it's only natural to wonder if he'd be gifting each of his teammates with some footwear like his teammate, quarterback Tom Brady, has done with UGGS.
"We'll see what they say, they'll probably talk to me about that. But probably. We can figure something out," he winked.
