After 26 miles, many Boston Marathon runners are physically exhausted. It’s not uncommon to see competitors stop or fall just yards from the finish line. And often those runners get help from others in the field.
Boston.com reporter Steve Safran captured the above photos of a fallen runner, and a competitor helping him back on his feet. The exchange happened just 50 yards from the finish line.
