Bruins fans had plenty of opportunities to celebrate on Thursday night.

The Bruins dominated very nearly the entire 60 minutes, out-shooting the Devils 43-14. In the first period alone, they out-shot the Devils 18-3 and walked away with a 1-0 lead on a Milan Lucic power play goal.

The second period shot total was slightly less lopsided, with Boston out-shooting New Jersey 11-4. The Bruins had the only goal of the second period off the stick of Carl Soderberg.

Jordan Caron tried to get himself into the game with a staged fight against Jordin Tootoo, which ended up mostly being just some hugging and wrestling.

Late in the second period, the Devils got a power play and carried momentum through the rest of the period. They sent a few shots on net and some scoring chances, including one post that beat Niklas Svedberg.

The Bruins surpassed 40 shots in the game in the third period, but it remained 2-0 as Cory Schneider made several strong saves.

Ultimately, Svedberg stopped all 14 shots he faced and the Bruins added an empty net goal from Milan Lucic to get the 3-0 victory for their second win in a row and now have a six game point streak.
