Bruins wing Loui Eriksson suffered a concussion when he was hit by Buffalo’s John Scott in Wednesday night’s third period. Eriksson will not play tonight against San Jose and is out indefinitely.

Eriksson stayed at the Bruins’ team hotel in Buffalo last night after the game. Eriksson flew to Boston today.

Scott is suspended indefinitely because of the match penalty. The NHL has requested an in-person hearing with Scott, meaning he could be suspended more than five games. The Buffalo tough guy does not have a discipline history.

Jordan Caron will return to the lineup tonight vs. San Jose. Caron was a healthy scratch the last two games.
