GM Peter Chiarelli told Dougie Hamilton today that he will not be returning to junior. Tonight will mark Hamilton’s fifth game as an NHLer.

Chiarelli said Hamilton was naturally pleased to hear the news. Hamilton will become roommates with Adam McQuaid. Hamilton had been staying in a Boston hotel.

This season will count as a full year on Hamilton's three-year entry-level contract. Through four games, Hamilton has three assists.
