WILMINGTON -- Goaltending coach Bob Essensa is putting his goalies (Tim Thomas, Tuukka Rask, Matt Dalton, Adam Courchaine) through the paces this morning at Ristuccia Arena. Kevin Regan is not on the ice, perhaps an indication of his limitations as he recovers from hip surgery. (Update: Regan has joined the action.)

Blake Wheeler is on the ice for the first time this week. Wheeler is skating with Dennis Wideman and Steve Begin, who were on the ice yesterday for the first time. David Krejci, who took yesterday off, is taking some slow laps. Others skating include Brad Marchand, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Matt Marquardt, and Jeff LoVecchio.

The informal skate is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.

The skate has started, with some more veterans joining the action: Zdeno Chara, Andrew Ference, Milan Lucic, Shawn Thornton, Byron Bitz, and Johnny Boychuk.
