The Finns knocked out the Yanks in the 2006 Games. (Jim Davis/Globe Staff) |
Been a little while since the last Olympic roster, so we'll resume the parlor game today with the Finns:
Saku Koivu | Mikko Koivu | Antti Miettinen |
Tuomo Ruutu | Valtteri Filppula | Teemu Selanne |
Jussi Jokinen | Olli Jokinen | Niklas Hagman |
Ville Peltonen | Petteri Nokelainen | Jere Lehtinen |
Kimmo Timmonen | Joni Pitkanen |
Toni Lydman | Teppo Numminen |
Ossi Vaananen | Sami Salo |
Niklas Backstrom |
Miikka Kiprusoff |
* This roster is based only on current NHL players.
* The team's strength is clearly between the pipes. Either goalie could carry the team.
* Nokelainen might be a stretch, but we'll throw him in for some additional Boston flavor.
