Good morning from TD Banknorth Garden, where the Bruins are preparing to host Dallas tonight. Thanks to Kevin Dupont for handling the Western Canada trip.

Some tidbits from the pre-game notes:

* Dallas is coming off a 5-2 loss to Chicago last night. Tobias Stephan (27 saves) started in goal for Dallas, which indicates that Marty Turco might get a turn tonight. The Stars are 4-5-2, the first time they had a losing record in October since 1993.

* Sergei Zubov is on long-term injured reserve and not eligible to play tonight.

* In their last 13 meetings, the Stars hold an 8-2-3 record against the Bruins.

* The Bruins are averaging only 11.1 penalty minutes per game, second-fewest in the league.

* Don Van Massenhoven and Chris Rooney will be the referees. Jay Sharrers and Tim Nowak will be the linesmen.
