VANCOVER -- Winning begets winning, and it also begets time off for good behavior.

The Bruins, who flew out of here after last night's 1-0 win over the Canucks, learned this morning that they will not have to practice today in Calgary.

Day off.

Everyone reports to the big saddle-shaped arena, the centerpiece of the 1988 Olympic Games, first thing tomorrow morning for a day-of-game tuneup prior to facing Mike Keenan's Flames.

No doubt some of the Black-and-Gold brethren will rent cars for a day trip to nearby Banff, the breathtaking ski and recreational area in the Canadian Rockies. Wonder if Brit skiier Eddie the Eagle is still around from the Games.

Your faithful blog dog, upon landing back in Alberta, will report back to this space later today.
