Zdeno Chara made it through the entire morning skate, but the Bruins have not decided whether he will be available tonight. Chara has missed the last five games because of an upper-body injury.

"We'll be making that decision shortly here," said Claude Julien. "He just got off the ice, so we'll probably know more by game time."

Chara was not available for comment. He went through all the drills and didn't appear to have significant limitations.

"When anybody of his stature comes back, it will certainly be a boost to our hockey club," Julien said. "I still think we need 20 guys to do their job tonight. One guy's not going to be the savior. But when you get a guy like that coming back in the lineup, it's great for everybody."

* Tim Thomas will start tonight.

Tonight's expected lineup, if Chara plays:

Axelsson-Savard-Murray
Sturm-Krejci-Kobasew
Lucic-Metropolit-Kessel
Reich-Nokelainen-Thornton

Chara-Wideman
Ference-Ward
Stuart-Hnidy

Thomas
