Glen Murray and Bobby Allen will travel with the team to Buffalo this afternoon. Claude Julien said the team will determine after tomorrow's morning skate whether Murray can play tomorrow night.

* Peter Schaefer (shin contusion) left practice early after taking a whack on the leg. Schaefer will remain in Boston and not play tomorrow. He'll be replaced in the lineup by either Petteri Nokelainen or Jeremy Reich, the two spare forwards in practice today.

* Shane Hnidy (finger) didn't practice today but will make the trip. Either Hnidy or Allen will be the sixth defenseman tomorrow.

* Julien said he hasn't decided on whether to start Tim Thomas or Alex Auld tomorrow.
