Head to head: This is the third of four meetings. The Bruins won, 3-1, Feb. 3 in Philadelphia, and the Flyers came back three nights later to take a 4-3 overtime victory in Boston.
Miscellany: Center Daniel Briere returned to the lineup Sunday (a 3-0 loss to New Jersey) after missing 36 games because of groin surgery . . . Carter's 36 goals are third in the NHL, and the Flyers are 18-0-3 in the last 21 games in which he has scored.
