SAN JOSE, Calif. — After 15 games and more than a month, the Bruins got back two pieces of their lineup on Saturday, with both Loui Eriksson and Shawn Thornton making their returns. Both had last played Dec. 7 against the Penguins, a game that resulted in Eriksson’s second concussion in 45 days and Thornton’s 15-game suspension for his attack on Brooks Orpik.
“I’m excited to be back, obviously,” Thornton said before Saturday night’s game against the Sharks. “It was a tough night to sleep for other reasons this time, which is good. I was a little excited. It’s been a long time.”
