Scouting the Patriots in 2011

Is Bill Belichick making another big push for Super Bowl glory? While the Patriots have been near-annual participants in the NFL playoffs during Belichick's tenure and have plenty of hardware to show for it, three straight postseason losses are more than enough. So Belichick went on a bit of a shopping spree, trading for and signing several veteran players who he hopes will contribute immediately as the team looks to end its postseason skid. The omnipresent pass-rush issue -- and even more vexing, third-down defense -- was addressed with the acquisitions of Albert Haynesworth and Andre Carter, and receiver help came in the form of Chad Ochocinco. The last time Belichick brought in such big names, the team was minutes from completing an undefeated season. But can this squad win the one game the '07 team could not?
