The first half of the season brought its share of disappointments for Bill Belichick's bunch, as a porous defense reared its ugly head. The Patriots were upset by the Cardinals at home and by the Seahawks on the road. And superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm. But the Patriots turned it on in the second half, as is their custom. Aqib Talib was acquired to shore up the secondary. The offense jelled, with Wes Welker, Lloyd, and Aaron Hernandez making up for the absence of Gronk. And the Patriots hammered the Colts and Texans en route to the AFC East title. How it will all end this time around is anyone's guess.
