Questionable moves in Patriots history

In eight seasons with the Patriots, linebacker Mike Vrabel played in 125 regular-season games. He recorded 638 regular-season tackles and 48 sacks and intercepted 10 passes. In 17 playoff games, including four Super Bowls, he tallied 93 tackles and seven sacks. In February 2009, Vrabel was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs along with quarterback Matt Cassel for a second-round pick, a move that bewildered many because he was a locker room and on-field leader.
