Charlie WeisWeis, the offensive coordinator for three championship teams in New England, departed in 2004 to take the head coaching job at his alma mater, Notre Dame.
After five seasons in South Bend, the school fired him. He had a 35-27 record, but won only one bowl game - the Hawaii Bowl in 2008.
Weis was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, reuniting him with former Patriots GM Scott Pioli, for the 2010 season. After serving as the offensive coordinator for the Florida Gators in 2011, he became the head coach at the University of Kansas.
