Only seven days into his stay in New England, the Patriots have released tight end Kyle Auffray.
The 27-year-old first-year player out of New Hampshire was signed by the Patriots June 9. He had originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a rookie free agent May 13, 2013.
Auffray was interesting because not only could he play as a tight end, but he could also punt. He had 71 punts at New Hampshire for 37.7 yards per punt average.
