Statistically, especially on the offense, there were some positives for the Patriots.
  • Quarterback Tom Brady, of course. He threw for 387 yards, not a bad follow-up to his first two games, when he threw for 517 against the Dolphins and 423 against the Chargers.
  • Rookie running back Stevan Ridley gained 44 yards on seven carries, a 6.3 average.
  • Julian Edelman averaged 10.3 yards on three punt returns.
  • Stephen Gostkowski boomed six kickoffs into the end zone. The Bills rarely had good starting position.
  • Defensive back Kyle Arrington had two interceptions.
  • Cornerback Devin McCourty had eight tackles to lead the Patriots.
The two biggest negative statistics were the four interceptions thrown by Brady and the eight penalties for 93 yards.
