With this week's game vs. the Ravens one of the weekend's best matchups, we'll take a daily look at what's being written about it from Baltimore's perspective.

Also, check back here tomorrow for a special chat session. We're trying to arrange it to have both Globe Patriots reporter Shalise Manza Young and a Baltimore Sun beat reporter on the chat to answer questions regarding both teams.

Today's Baltimore highlights:

Blogger Matt Vensel has the Ravens atop his weekly power rankings, moving from No. 3 to the top spot. The Jets are No. 2, the Patriots are No. 5.

Columnist Peter Schmuck says the Patriots are not weaker for having traded Randy Moss. The gist of his argument is that coach Bill Belichick is a master game-planner and removing an obvious threat like Moss makes the Patriots much more unpredictable and dangerous.

Columnist Mike Preston says Belichick is the best coach in the league, so he'll have the Patriots ready. He's most interested in seeing how Belichick deals with the Ravens' running game, which helped the Ravens win last season's playoff matchup of the teams.

The Ravens Insider blog focuses on which Ravens running back will carry the ball in the red zone. It also includes a post on how Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh is dealing with the Patriots' personnel changes at receiver.

Lastly, an early scouting report on Sunday's game.

News, analysis and commentary from Boston.com's staff writers and contributors, including Zuri Berry and Erik Frenz.
