North+Carolina+v+Boston+College+JzizxGYgVxAl.jpgThe Patriots are scheduled to host North Carolina DT Cam Thomas at Gillette Stadium, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

It's one of the 30 in-house pre-draft visits allowed by the league. We've already got Tennessee RB Montario Hardesty, TCU DE Jerry Hughes, and Tennessee DT Dan Williams nailed down as coming to town as well.

Thomas came in at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds at the combine, and his length gives you reason to believe he could play a 5-technique end in a 3-4. There are questions about his motor and athleticism (5.33 40-yard dash in Indy), but his size and brute strength give him potential as a run-stopping force.

He's expected to be a second or third rounder, so he could be a more affordable alternative to someone like Williams.
