Pats worked out Spikes

We went over how many of these guys have been worked out by the Patriots to this point, and the number ismonumentally high, so take this for what it's worth.
We already knew that Bill Belichick and the Patriots contingent in Gainesville worked out tight end Aaron Hernandez the day after Florida's Pro Day. I found out today that linebacker Brandon Spikes was also worked out privately by New England March 18.
Spikes came in a shade under 6 feet 3 inches and at 249 pounds at the combine, but after not working out in Indy, the ultra-productive Gator had a rough morning at his Pro Day by turning in a 5.0 in the 40.
That said, this guy was said to be the kind of leader for the Florida defense that Tim Tebow was for the offense, and was named first-team All-SEC in all three of his years as a starter and first-team All-America the last two.
