Patriots coach Bill Belichick indicated on a conference call with the New England media that the knee injury that middle linebacker Jerod Mayo suffered during the first quarter of Monday night's 25-24 victory over the Patriots is not considered to be a possible season-ending injury.

"I don't think that is what it is," said Belichick, when asked about the idea the right knee injury is season-ending.

Belichick offered no further update on Mayo's condition, other than saying that the team will have a practice report tomorrow.
