FOXBOROUGH, Mass.—Wes Welker won't be boosting his numbers as the NFL's leading receiver this weekend. He doesn't expect to wear himself out celebrating his success either.

Welker is heading home to Oklahoma City during the New England Patriots bye week, a five-day break. He said Wednesday he plans to relax and see family and friends and not act like it's "spring break" in college.

The Patriots held their last practice on Wednesday before players left Foxborough. They're off until Tuesday when they'll prepare to face the Steelers in Pittsburgh the following Sunday.

Welker said it's nice that the Patriots are 5-1, the best record in the AFC, but they're a long way from where they need to be.
