Rather than bore you with 800-plus words of Yankee Stadium memories, I’ll let the following sum things up.

They’ll always have 2000.

  1. What I don't get: if the Stadium is so historic, if so many wonderful things happened there, if its all perfect and nostalgic and all "through these doors passed some of the greatest baseball legends ever"....why are they tearing it down? It would be more sentamental to hear this stuff if, say, it had fallen into a sink-hole or something...but they are tearing it down on purpose. So I don't feel sorry for them.

  1. How ironic that the last American League pennant ever won in Yankee Stadium was by the Boston Red Sox.

Can anything be sweeter than that ?
