The other day, This Blog mentioned that the only player that got euchred worse in this year's All Star selections than Kevin Youkilis of Cincinnati (and the University thereof) was Joey Votto, of the Cincinnati Reds. This Blog blamed the chili, which was probably unfair.
However, in a surprisingly innovative -- and an even more surprisingly funny -- move, the Reds have put together a campaign to elect The Cincinnati Two as a package. It's clear that, just out of simple politeness, the Red Sox have to step up and join the campaign. C'mon, John Henry. You gonna let Boston get out-politicked, or out-stuffed at the ballot box, by Cincinnati, for pity's sake? Generations of departed governor's councillors are watching you, pal.
Make him proud.
