I know nobody except my pal Berger cares about this, but this weekend is a pretty big deal for thoroughbred racing. Rachel Alexandra is running at Churchill Downs and Zenyatta is running at Hollywood Park, trying to go 17-0 lifetime. Given that the best three-year old never made it to the post at the Kentucky Derby, and given what nondescript Triple Crown races we subsequently had -- That Belmont field on Saturday was an embarrassing bunch of muckers -- the Breeders Cup this fall at Churchill Downs is probably the last chance for the sport to shine this year.
