...and last in the American League

The flying monkeys seem to be all agog and flinging things because the incumbent president of the United States did not mention his favorite (or any) Chicago White Sox player when given the chance on a radio program. This is said to be an Indication Of Something, of course, and it's only a matter of time before the president is compared unfavorably on the Man Scale to our junior senator. You know, the manly guy who first wooed his wife wearing a pair of $750 pink leather shorts that he'd gotten on the arm from his last job as a male model. All politics is local, after all.
(We were, however, treated to the publication of what was the single most unabashedly racist pile of swill in the history of local racist swill, which is considerable. No link, though. Follow your nose around the Intertoobz. You'll find it.)
Those of us with a historical bent for such matters will recall that, back during the 2000 campaign, when our own Andy Hiller quizzed a certain governor of Texas about the world leaders the governor might one day stumble over in the White House while looking for the pretzel bowl, Hiller was excoriated for this disgusting exercise in "gotcha journalism," although I think it's more important for a president to know who's running, say, Afghanistan than it is for him instantly to recall Mark Kotsay. But I am willing to stipulate that Sports Knowledge be hereafter eliminated as a serious method by which to evaluate anything about anyone possessed of the nuclear codes. We all agree? Good.
That said, I don't think the president is out of the woods on this thing quite yet. Sooner or later, this whole episode is going to reach the ears of Ozzie Guillen. This will not end well.

“Still too early, but I share the concern. Would love to see the eventual second unit guys – Baby, Jeff Green, Arroyo, West and probably Kristic – get to play together. Rondo looks exhausted and it would be helpful if Doc could cut back his minutes.
Also, I strongly suspect there were concerns that Perk was not the same player anymore.”

“Packer was serious about hoops. I knew it was a big game when Musberger/Nantz would call a game with Packer. He was old school so he took delight in fundamentals such as a pick/roll or boxing out a rebounder. I'm still a young kid, but I enjoyed his analysis.”
