Sports events to watch for in June
The NBA Finals, beginning June 3. If the Celtics are in it, you’d certainly have the right to move this up to No. 1 on the list. If the Celtics aren’t in it, keep it right here.
The Stanley Cup finals, begin May 29. So the Bruins aren’t in it. So what? Philadelphia. vs. Chicago represents an all-American final that will set the bar for Boston in 2010-11.
The U.S. Open, June 17-20. Even if you don’t like golf, it’s an American tradition. On Father’s Day weekend, Tiger takes another crack at a major. Oh, the irony.
Manny’s return, June 18-20. Thanks to the wonder of interleague play, Manuel Aristides Ramirez will make his first appearance at Fenway Park since July 2008. Cheers? Or boos?
The NHL draft, June 25. Don’t forget that the Bruins have the No. 2 pick. Should they try to move up? Can they? Taylor Hall or Tyler Seguin? Discuss.
