There’s an old adage in hockey that it pays to have a short memory. Whether you win or lose, there isn’t time to dwell.

However, when you travel all the way from Boston to Orono, Maine, get smacked around in a 5-1 loss, and think about it for hours on the ride home, things like that aren’t easy to forget.

On Saturday night, No. 4 Boston College generated some payback for that road defeat Nov. 23, rolling past the No. 19 Black Bears, 7-2, in front of 6,714 at Conte Forum.

The Eagles’ top line shows no signs of slowing down. If anything, it is accelerating on offense.
