Boston College ahtletes among nation’s best in Graduation Success Rate data

Boston College earned high marks in the NCAA’s release of Graduation Success Rate data on Thursday, recording a score of 96 percent to place fifth overall in the nation in all sports among Football Bowl Subdivision institutions.

BC was topped only by Notre Dame (99), Duke (98), Stanford (97), and Northwestern (97).

The Eagles had 14 of their programs record perfect scores (100), including 10 women’s programs: basketball, crew/rowing, field hockey, ice hockey, skiing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball. Men’s fencing, golf, skiing, and swimming also had 100s.

BC’s football team recorded a 95 score, best in the Atlantic Coast Conference and tied for third nationally with Notre Dame behind Northwestern (97) and Rice (96). The Eagles were among eight football teams to receive a score of 90 or better.
