CLEMSON, S.C. -- Charlie Whitehurst threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Browning in the second overtime, which lifted No. 15 Clemson to a 37-30 victory over Wake Forest yesterday.
The Tigers led, 19-3, early in the second quarter and looked intent on beating the Demon Deacons.
The Deacons rallied for 24 straight points and led, 27-19, after Chris Barclay's 50-yard TD run with 12:20 to go. But Clemson responded with a 78-yard scoring drive, and Kelvin Grant caught the 2-point conversion for the tie.
