The Harvard men's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1946.

Princeton's 62-52 victory over Penn Tuesday clinched the Ivy League title for Harvard (26-4, 12-2 Ivy League), as well as the league's automatic berth in the NCAA men's basketball championship. Penn needed a win to force a one-game playoff on Saturday.

Harvard went 26-4 in the regular season and broke into the AP Top 25 in December, climbing as high as 22d in early January.

The NCAA Tournament brackets will be revealed on Sunday.

Harvard narrowly missed a chance to go to the NCAA Tournament last season, but lost a one-game playoff to Princeton at Yale University.
