Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich, who missed last season because he was being treated for Ewing's Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer in his left leg and who also suffered a stress fracture in his right foot in a pre-training camp work out, practiced this afternoon.
Herzlich is expected to be in pads on Tuesday and could play in the Eagles' opener against Weber State on Saturday.
Herzlich's comeback to the football field was slowed to a crawl when he fractured a bone in his foot in a pre-training camp drill. But an MRI on Friday revealed that the fracture had healed sufficiently for Herzlich to resume his comeback.
