Wilkerson scored twice and Cecchini drove in two. … Chris Hernandez, in his first start since being sent down from Pawtucket, allowed just one run on four hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings. He was 3-9 with a 5.72 ERA in 102 1/3 innings with the PawSox.

HIGHLIGHTS: Salem (56-58) put up four runs over their final two innings at the plate to pull away from the Blue Rocks and take the series, two games to one. … A pair of Kyle’s bookended the game with three scoreless innings pitched. Starter Kyle Stroup allowed just one hit and struck out three to set the tone. Kyle Kraus stood strong in the final three frames, striking out two while not allowing a runner on base. … Deven Marrero went 2-for-4 with a walk. His fourth inning single broke an 0-for-15 slump. Since batting .284 in June, Marrero is hitting just .219.

Lowell remains tied atop the NYPL Stedler Division with Tri-City. … Sergio Gomez pitched six scoreless innings in the piggyback role, allowing five hits and striking out five. He has allowed just four runs over his last 24 innings. … Starter Teddy Stankiewicz allowed just one hit in two scoreless innings, recording two strikeouts along the way. The 2013 second-rounder has allowed just one run in his four appearances.

It is the sixth time in ten games that he has had two or more hits and Guerra is batting .405 in that span. … Starter Luis Ramos allowed only three hits and stuck out two in five scoreless innings of work.

HIGHLIGHTS: It took eleven innings but the Fisher Cats (55-59) walk off with a win to set up the rubber match between this teams tomorrow night. Kevin Nolan (3-for-5, double, RBI) singled home Andy Burns with one out, snapping a three game slide. … Starter Sean Nolin tied a franchise record with 13 strikeouts in the game. Teammate Marcus Stroman accomplished the feat in two different July starts. Nolin went six innings in this one, allowing one run on seven hits and a walk.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Aeros pumped out 15 hits and a mid-game rally by the Rock Cats (55-61) would not be enough to overcome the Akron offensive output. … Danny Santana and Eddie Rosario, 1-2 in the order respectively, both had two hits in the game for New Britain. Santana collected his team-high seventh triple of year. He is tied for second most in the league. … Starter D.J. Baxendale allowed four runs on nine hits and three walks in six innings. He has given up 15 earned runs, 27 hits and six walks in his last three starts.

HIGHLIGHTS: The Lake Monsters (24-26) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Jammers squared things up in the third which is where the game would stay until B.J. Boyd and Ryon Healy hit back-to-back homers in the eighth. Vermont snaps a five game losing streak. … Boyd went 3-for-4 and raised his average to .331, fourth best in the NYPL. … Kayvon Bahramzadeh struck out one in three scoreless innings of relief, earning his first win for Vermont. … Trevor Bayless took the league lead with his seventh save of the season.
